Countrymen = legal American citizens who now feel like they have to carry around a ridiculous amount of documentation because of their ethnicity. Not some bogeymen in a video you found.
The governor also issued an EO to deal with racial profiling.

I see nothing in the law that says if a persons doesn't have documentation on them, they go straight to jail.

Funny how you find asking possible immigrants some ID to verify they actually belong in this country.

I support Governor Jan Brewer for resisting so much outside pressure and signing this bill which is a legitimate response to the total breakdown of border enforcement by the federal government. The people of Arizona have our support.

The law is an attempt to shame the federal government into enacting an actual reform of our immigrations laws, which would consist of a combinaton of tougher border security, the creation of a fraud-proof ID system, and stiff penalties for employers who employ illegals.

But the Feds haven't the nards to actually addresss this problem, and the far right will continue to engage in fearmongering (they're taking over our country!), and the far left will practice name-calling (it's racist to enforce the law!).

And nada will get done....

A little inconvenience can be tolerated to find those that are here illegally AND sucking the HC, social programs dry.

Its how countries control immigration, terrorism and for many other security and economic reasons.

I was asked for papers in the mellowist of all "Switzerland". Go figure.

I have to point out something in this statement. Some who are arguing it is valid to target someone who might be illegal because they are hispanic , because most of the area is known to be illegals so that person "probably" is also. On other topics denounce government prying into their life.

Some also exclaim "we don't want to be like other countries, we don't want their gun control, we don't want socialism, we don't want their health care plan " yet now are saying "well other countries do it, what makes us special?"

This new law, from what I am hearing about it, has the potential of harassing hispanic Americans. It would be so easy to solve so many problems if it wasn't for that pesky Bill of Rights.

There is one thing I like about this even though I don't support the new law, that a state challenged the federal government.

Agreed. That and the fact that some in both political parties namely those in power or of wealth stand to benefit with more power and financial gain from not addressing the issue.

I'd like to express some thoughts on illegal immigration, profiling and also capitalism.

When I lived in Miami, in the area of Cutler Ridge every day you would see 20 to 30 illegals lining up the road leading to the Home Depot waiting to get picked up for work.

And they would get work. Contractors, painters, construction companies would load them up in trucks. Now one one level I don't blame the illegal for trying to get work, however it is still wrong that they are here illegally and it needs to stop. But those American business owners dropped hiring a American for say $15 a hour so they could hire the illegal for say $7 a hour. The American business owner got richer personally at the expense of the American he use to hire who now is either out of a job or must accept $7 to get work. The illegal, well to him $7 is a good deal compared to what he would make back home.

Some say that is capitalism, that the business owner should only worry about himself and thinking his family comes first. It is his business to run as he sees fit. I disagree, that is getting wealthier at the expense of another.

I don't mind a person getting rich, I don't think government should cap people or wealth, I don't think people should have to pay interest taxes, capital gain taxes, inheritance taxes. But as long as they get rich without stepping on someone else. If that construction company gains record profit by gaining contracts and accounts by providing service they deserve the riches. But not by skimping on wages to the nation for personal advancement.

If the illegal were to enter the country by the rules, he wouldn't have to accept $7 a hour, with skills he could demand and get $15 a hour like every other and that would maintain a wage level that helps all Americans while the company can still profit by more moral means.

Now profiling, those illegals standing for work on the road I mentioned, it seems to me it wouldn't be unreasonable to profile them, common sense dictates to me they are more than likely illegal. But, Miami is largely hispanic, profiling anybody because is a different matter. This new law if I am correct, will profile someone just because they are or look, and they could very well be a American of 2nd generation with a family who came to America legally.

These illegals will leave and will employers pay more for Americans now?

This will be a problem.

It was not a problem before the invasion.

Profiling happens everyday and to everyone that comes in contact with a new person they cross paths with and their eyes see.

It is called being human.

When you, I, or any human meets someone for the first time, each is trying to figure out the other from the first glance.

Saying it isn't so, and your living in a dream world.

This is war people, it is not playtime.
The Forefathers and my government, grants me my American rights to bare arms against any invasion of another nation.

All hispanic Americans need to be pissed at the illegals that got you caught up in this mess in the first place. If they were not here, would this even be an issue. Hispanics need to make a choice. Your American, or your not. END OF DISCUSSION!
