Reagan's a felon!............. Reagan's a felon!.......LOL

Associated Press 1981

Sen. S.I. Hayakawa on Wednesday spurned a Reagan administration suggestion that if he drops out of the crowded Republican Senate primary race in California, President Reagan would find him a job.

Hayakawa, who was seeking a second term at the time, was being urged by GOP officials to withdraw from the 1982 primary, a race that included, among others, Reps. Barry Goldwater Jr. & Bob Dornan, San Diego Mayor Pete Wilson, and First Daughter Maureen Reagan. The last thing the White House wanted was a split-conservative field that would end in the nomination of Rep. Pete McCloskey, a longtime anathema to the Right.

Hayakawa ultimately decided not to run for re-election. Wilson won the primary and was elected in November.

It just shows that Obama is no better than any other politician that got elected to office.
Sometimes power and the ability to control gets to their heads and gets out of hand.

This has been one busy week of reckoning for Obama...flack for not responding quick enough to coastal disaster from the oil spill and now this. I hope it's brought him back down to earth, back to reality.

You don't seem to understand the topic. You can offer the job but you can't offer the job to keep someone from running in a race they don't want him in. That is against the law and the WH is so arrogant as to think they are above the law and let they guy talk about it. "What, you mean the law also applies to us???? Well how silly."

You know the Clintons are calling the shots from behind the scenes like Dick Cheney did. This proves it even more. I doubt they can get more than an embarassing apology out of the Obama administration for this questionably ethical gaffe. But Sestak seems to be trying to worm his way out of coming completely clean about what was offered. Talk about your chicken of the sea, that's Admiral Sestak.

Bill is simply taking one for the team........that's all. He's saving Barack's bacon for a favor down the road. He didn't offer jack squat to Sestak. Obama or his staff did. But they have too much to lose and Bill has nothing to lose.

1. His rep is and legacy are gabage

2. He's out of office

He has a history of tall tales. So why would the media believe him? Because they love the Big O.

The media is no longer the watch dogs for the people. They are now the guard dogs for the White House.

A absolutely silly and totally unenforceable law. Every administration since Washington has offered politicians jobs in the administration, thus affecting the course of future elections.

Please tell me anyone who has ever been prosecuted for offering a politician a job?

Can you deal with the present instead of trying to play "well your guy did it so our guy can too" rhetoric ?

Aren't you asking where's your "hope and change" ?
Didn't you vote him into office to end the BAU ?
Aren't you outraged that the BAU continues ?

You wouldn't be saying that if it were Bush.
