She misspoke, she would probably agree with you that she misspoke. In fact, she has admitted as much.

The problem is saying she is calling for "ethnic cleansing" or the persecution of any race, creed, or religion. Quite the opposite. To hear that she now is in favor of "ethnic cleansing" shows the level of contempt for the truth by her detractors.

Of course, they show contempt everywhere, so its not only not surprising to see it now, it was entirely expected.

To Israel, its 100% of the law. Palestinian territory continues to shrink, all their prime land being taken from them by force

odanny and his friend nomad have been repeatedly attempting to take this thread off topic. So let me bring it back by making a couple of points.

You know the old saying "beauty is only skin deep"? Well, ugliness also may be only skin deep. But in Thomas' case it goes right down to the bone.

Moderate Democrats have joined other people of decency in denouncing this hater. In fact, with the exception of some on the far left and stormfront right, no one sanctions people like her.

We should all demand no less of Obama.

She's senile and a nasty person. Give Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow 40 years and they'll be the same way. One could argue they're almost there already.

What she said can not be characterized as "misspeaking".

Her words come from the heart, obviously something she believes in for many years.

See, that's the problem with most far leftists. They try to hide and suppress how they really feel, but eventually it comes out and people are then shocked by the hateful opinions that occasionally slip out.

Poor, poor Helen;

Helen Thomas agrees to bow out as commencement speaker at Walt Whitman High

Quote:
Veteran journalist Helen Thomas, who recently made controversial comments about Israel and Palestine, agreed Sunday not to appear as commencement speaker at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda.

Alan Goodwin, principal of Whitman, where objections to the appearance had been raised, said he reached a niece of Thomas's earlier in the day. "We had a mutual understanding about her not coming," he said.
How else would you characterize HER "words", other than a desire to see Israeli Jews CLEANSED of palestine?

I know, Beck was blasting her today. Pointing out, very clearly, that she is a poor peacemaker.

Recommeding people of one ethnic group leave an area is ethnic cleansing no matter how you try to deny that fact. You are under the impression that violence has to be involved in order to favor ethinic cleansing. Although it most often is, it is not a prerequesite.

Misspoke is saying something you don't believe, based on her pronouncements over the years this statement is very consistent with her views.

Funny thing is these days Jews would be treated much better in Germany/Poland than they treat the arabs or blacks in Israel

Yeah, we get it. You don't like Jewish people. Your dislike for them has spanned a number of threads now. And still, you don't have the guts to just come right out and say it.
