Turkey is a NATO member and has been a US Ally since before Israel was a state via the 1947 Truman doctrine. On top of that Turkey was critical in containing soviet expansion and hosts US troops. They also supported the US in the 1991 war with Iraq and don't cause problems for the US in the middle east. All in all I would say they are by far the better ally.

Israeli commandos boarded the ship with paintball guns to check the cargo, were attacked by muslim militants/radicals wielding iron bars, knives, bats, who then proceeded to beat to death the soldiers. It was at that point they pulled their side arms and fired to save their lives.
Get your facts straight and stop listening to the far radical Left and their terrorist allies.
The peace activists didn't beat any soldiers to death, as usual Israel acted with excessive force and did not sustain one casualty. We keep hearing about the professional Israeli Army but all these incidents end up lopsided.
Israel is supposed to be about democracy,honesty and openess compared to its Arab neigbors, so why did they reject an independent investigation?
The US should cut its ties and with Israel rather than trying to defend in the unexplainable actions.

I'm sure they would have been fair, since they have already judged Israel guilty from 10 minutes after the incident.

Israel actions are very clear - protect their country, their people, their borders from hamas and the other militant islamic terrorists.

You missed my point, no soldiers were beaten to death.
Some democracy, they restrict free speech and feel they have the power to violate international law whenever they feel the need. They create more problems for the US in terms of their relations with the arab world and offer little in return. So if they don’t trust the United Nation’s who do you suppose could investigate the deaths from the Israeli embargo since pretty much everyone is anti-semetic according to Israel.
There is no hope that this problem will ever be resolved.
