Keep in mind that Rush was a closet oxycontin addict, too....
He became addicted (not by choice) to a prescription drug (due to back pain and an unsuccessful back surgery) and overcame it. Just like many, many others who have had an addiction with that same drug.
Rush thought it was ok for Limpbutt to scarf oxys down like M&Ms while demonizing drug addicts.
So, once again going against his beliefs shouldn't be a surprise.
And, as for Elton, a million bucks is a pretty good payday for a few hours work.
Why the hell not.
Rush abused legal prescription drugs. EJ abused alcohol and the illegal drug cocaine. Which is "worse"? Does it even matter? Both appear to be clean now and I applaud both of them for shedding the habit.

Read the entire line. ....while demonizing drug addicts.

What a mountainous load. There are millions of chronic pain sufferers out there who are not addicted to oxy.

I read your post--in its entirety--and until you show me some proof that Rush was "demonizing drug addicts", I'll take that part of your post with a grain of of salt.
My point is that both are apparently clean now and kicking a drug or alcohol habit is not easy, as any former abusers will tell you.
