There's no doubt they want confrontation and over the past few years they've gotten some, but have been kept separated pretty well before last night.

I would say these groups have just as much right to voice opinions as anyone of the other groups. You can’t have it both ways. If we gotta tolerate morons on the left, we get to tolerate morons on the right.

Not disputing that, but there's a reason people like "Tiny" Toese keep showing up and getting charged with assault.

In this case the right wing morons were rolling up and down the streets in their pickups firing paintball guns and pepper spray at people on the sidewalks.

They wanted to provoke a confrontation.

Also the Antifa people don't go to the suburbs or rural towns. But the proud boys make it a point to go to Portland? They've been doing this for years. Before covid and BLM they just threw milkshakes at each other. This time it got serious, cost someone their life.

I think that is deflection. Leftists may not like them but they have their rights. If the moronic left just let 600 cars go through town unencumbered - No drama, no noise, no one dead and caravan is over in about 1 hour.
No harm- no foul.

Of course, the moronic ANTIFA teenagers and hobos of Portland have no other life and are much too brain dead to see that.

On another question - does anyone believe the words that Wheeler and Kate Brown speak?
I find them to be in way over their head and just regurgitate tired old lines that the orange man is bad. Is that really all they can say or do?? What a terrible pair of leaders. DO SOMETHING!

In many ways Portland and Oregon deserve the reputation as the laughing stock of America these days.

Why doesn't the mayor want to send in the National Guard? It's ridiculous this drama has been allowed to drag on for 90 days. That's totally unacceptable. The NG could come in and put a stop to all that nonsense in one night. What's the point of even of having a National Guard if they are not going to be used when needed? If I lived in Portland, I'd be wanting my money back.

Sigh. My main concern is that the far left will continue to do what they do best and that the result will be a continuance of the Trump presidency.

The Portland president of the NAACP doesn't even want this current representation of BLM.

Probably even more relevant today as it was when it was written a month ago:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...WtzQRCF9s2gHho

Quote:
The president of the Portland branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), ED Mondainé, warned that the Black Lives Matter movement in the city is being coopted by “privileged white people” with other agendas. He said the confrontations with the federal officers sent by the president are little more than a “spectacle and a distraction that do nothing for the cause of black equality”.

Mondainé accused groups of young white people at the forefront of confronting federal officers of rising to Trump’s bait and using the campaign against racial injustice to provoke a fight in pursuit of other causes, such as anti-capitalism.

“The children of the privileged are dancing on the stages of those that gave their lives for this movement,” he told the Guardian.

Michael Forest Reinoehl is under investigation for the shooting that killed a man.

He is also wanted here in Baker County for failure to appear. Among other things, charged with “unlawful possession of a firearm“:
