Both of my grandmothers were 44 when they had my mother and father. I have known people who have gotten pregnant as old as 46, so I would say 50 is probably the cut off.

This woman at church had triplets at 46 and they were unplanned. Not sure if I would want triplets at 46 but still kind of amazing it happened (and yes completely natural as she thought she was done with kids).
I don’t think anyone has the right to judge someone else’s reproductive choices. I had my son at 32, and my daughter was adopted when I had just turned 38. I had some family members say I was "too old" for a second baby, never mind adopting one. My husband and I disagreed, and moved forward with our daughter's adoption. She is now 8, and my son is 14.
I don't care what other people do. That being said, I had my youngest when I was 25, and now that I'm 35, I can't imagine doing it all over again. Watching a friend's toddler for a few hours just exasperates and exhausts me. I had the patience and energy when I was younger, but now I really just don't. Of course, that could be because I'm out of the diapers/nursing/potty training stage... if I were just starting out now, I guess I wouldn't be so annoyed at the whole proposition, LOL.

There is no age cut off...I know of woman who had children in their mid forties...usually a pleasant accident or miracle. If you are healthy and energetic go for it. As a kid I remember my mother going into a panic when she had passed 40...she was pacing about the house in hysterics..She was pregnant...It all worked out - other than my youngest brother who is now a middle age prick who does not talk to his siblings..
The woman at church was not happy (and no, she wasn't trying to get pregnant at all, she thought she was done with babies). I think it would be nice to have twins though in a year or two, preferably one of each and then be done with having babies.

We thought one kid at age 45 was a whole lotta kid. We did discuss possibly trying for another, but decided against it. Although we sometimes wonder about that decision, we just had two other children over for a sleepover and were reminded that more than one kid is a LOT of work.
Triplets at age 46? The mind boggles, especially if that's a "surprise".
