I think it has more to do with individual players on the defense and offense lines. Stats are better for this particular game and this is so important for whatever reason??? It is a team game last time I checked.
I'm glad Wilson is finally gaining some recognition. I was pulling for the Bears but great job against the Bears in a signature road win.
First off, this thread was never meant to be sarcastic or offend any Luck or RG3 fans and I apologize if it was taken the wrong way. I've been following Wilson's game since he became the Badgers qb and I'm just a big fan of Wilson and thought he was a steal in the draft and never meant to slight Luck or RG3 fans, after all, all 3 were rookies and anything can happen. As of now, it looks like all 3 are coming on their own so far, specially Luck. RG3 is exciting but has to protect himself better by sliding to make his career last longer, but man, Luck just seems to be the complete package.
If Wilson continues to improve, the Seahawks will be a dangerous team in the playoffs, assuming they make it to the playoffs.

Wilson showed me a lot yesterday. He does indeed look like the 'real deal.'
My previous comment about closing the thread is no longer valid. I was going to delete it, but I felt that it was important to still leave up. I had misread the intentions of the thread, and I do apologize for that.

Now that the whole replacement refs debacle is well in the past, hopefully things will be more serious in this thread.
Being in Indy, we rarely get to see Seattle games here, but from the little I've seen of him either in primetime or highlights, he definitely seems legit. About the only thing our rookie quarterback Andrew Luck has him beat in is yards and yards per game, and that could be because the Colts running game is pretty bad so Luck has to pass a lot more than Wilson does. Wilson has a better completion percentage, more TD passes, half as many interceptions, and much better QB rating than Luck does. I love Luck as our quarterback, but Russell Wilson could become a silent beast sneaking up on the rest of the NFL if Seattle is able to build around him.

Please nobody bash me, but I think Wilson going into Soldier field against a top NFL defense and beating the Bears was more impressive than what Luck or RG3 did this week...
Wilson is growing on me fast. He's smarter than I gave him credit for, and he's elusive as hell. Slippery little dude, d-lineman have a hard time wrapping him up. he's got a good arm and he's got some talented, underrated receivers to throw to.
I liked Wilson when I saw him play at Wisconsin. I like him even more now.
Wilson is only one of the talented young quarterbacks we have coming into the league. Only time will tell which one will stand out.
Wilson's size is against him, but he makes up for it with his decision making and arm.
I do wish he would stop running quite so much though, even though he doesnt run as much as RGIII. (I wish he would stop a little too)
Last year at Wisconsin, I saw him make some pretty smart moves against defenses.
I agree his win against the Bears was a standout performance.

Not going to bash you at all. I didn't see RG3's performance last night. I am a huge Colts fan and I love Andrew Luck as our quarterback, but all the people raving about the comeback against the Lions apparently missed the part where he still threw 3 interceptions. Luck has 16 INTs on the season. Wilson only has 8, granted Luck has throw approx 200 more passes than Wilson. I will keep Luck as our QB here in Indy, but I think Seattle made a great move getting Wilson. I'm a bit afraid of the Colts playing the Seahawks next season now.

Yeah I think Luck is a better QB than Wilson, and he'll get those interceptions down as he becomes more comfortable.
But Wilson still has a lot of upside and he's still learning as well. He's proven to be clutch several times this season. I honestly was a little skeptical when they decided to start Wilson over Matt Flynn (who they paid a ton of money for), but so far it seems to be the right decision.
At just 5'11, i was concerned about Wilson's height early on, but it doesn't seem to be much of a problem.
Congrats Seattle for making the playoffs. Wow, what a game against the 49ers! Wilson is improving in every game. Seattle is really looking even more tough now as they head into the playoffs. Glad to see all 3 rookie qb stepping it up for the playoffs. Luck and RG3 are just too good out there. Man, all 3 rookie qb's could be in the pro bowl this year.
Seattle will now most likely be the No. 5 seed in the NFC although a chance remains of winning the NFC West if the Seahawks beat St. Louis in the season finale and Arizona upsets the 49ers.
