I agree. I can't imagine a QB EVER missing the game for ANY reason. And I don't think there would be a lot of people saying "Tom Brady shouldn't play in the game. How could he miss the birth of his child!"

Sherman could arguably be the second most valuable player on the field on Sunday.

Play the game. There will be more kids, I'm sure. Don't know if he'll make it back to another SB. Go for the game.

Even in 1971 my husband was not allowed in. My Momma was though. She was a nurse. I liked having her there more than I would have my husband.

She's just a baby momma, not a wife. There's no way in hell he's missing the Super Bowl, not with his ego.

Exactly. He wouldn't miss the SB even if she was the wife!

I believe the OP typed gf(girlfriend), so this out of wedlock. The team needs him, he is under contract, he gets paid the big bucks, skype it in at the game

sherman has to do what he thinks is right for him and his family. he also knows better than the rest of us what that is. i think he also knows better about when the baby is due than the media does, and the media is doing what they do best, blow things out of proportion.

that said, nature being what nature is, that baby may come early, it may come late. if this is her first child, it will likely be late anyway, and this will be much adieu about nothing.

It has already been worked out. If the baby comes during the game it will be shown live on the stadium jumbotron for Richard and all to see as it happens. If it's a boy it will be names Roger Goodell Sherman. If it's a girl it will be named Barrack.
This isn't even a real discussion, the baby isn't due for a week or so, the media is just bored so they invented a story..
