We've been having glorious sunny weather! The down side? We need a little rain for the plants I've set out.

I had to text someone from our antique cell phone yesterday. It took ages because it doesn't have a keypad. But worse than that, I couldn't figure out how to type the number zero so when I sent the person a phone number to call, it had to look like this: 8o7-15o6. The last time I used it, I needed to specify 2:30 pm but because I couldn't make a zero, had to make the appointment for 2:29pm... sigh.

Whenever I text or email on my phone, it keeps reading the comma as a period. I clearly hit the comma, but a damned period keeps showing up. Then it capitalizes the next word like I'm starting a new sentence. So I have to go back a delete and make it a comma again. Sometimes it turns into a period AGAIN

and while I'm b*tching about my cell phone, I am annoyed that I have an alert telling me a system update had to be paused because there is no wi-fi connection. But I NEVER use wi-fi. I don't have it in my house and I don't trust public wi-fi. I go online with my phone via my 4G whatever connection. So why can't the phone use that for its stupid update instead of trying to connect to a wi-fi that's not there? now I can't get rid of the alert.

Hate being in a dark house, but when I turn the lights on in the kitchen/ living room the temperature goes about 5 degrees up. So either I sit in light and sweat, put on A/C when its cold out, or sit in the dark. Cant win.

During a weeklong business trip, I got a ping from an out of town friend who said she was in town for the weekend. And she might want to stay over. This trip was conference by day, dinners/socials/parties by night. I was exhausted. I got back from my trip and stayed up late straightening up my apartment (it was the 3rd trip in as many weeks, so I haven't spent much time on chores. We met up today, turns out she decided to grab a hotel room to be closer to other friends. I am now exhausted. At least my apartment is clean.

I do love looking at pictures on Pinterest, the ones that show how you can recycle all your old linens. I have to say though, those linens they use to make crafts sure don't look old and tatty like mine in fact if mine looked in that good a condition I wouldn't be trying to recycle. Guess mine are headed for animal hospitals and cut up dishcloths

And besides I can't sew very well and if I could, I'm sure I'd hear people saying 'look at that woman's skirt. It looks just like a tablecloth. And that bag she's using, hmmm, reminds me of a pillow case.'

It looks as though my thermostat has to be replaced. Twice now I put on the heat (which in itself is a first-world problem--WHY DO I HAVE TO PUT ON THE HEAT IN MAY???????) and the whole digital readout went blank and then when the furnace stopped blowing, the thermostat came back on but the temp was five degrees higher than the temp at which I had it set.

It's only five years old, installed when I got a new furnace and ac compressor. Harumph.
