What the hell is wrong with people?! I went to my small corner grocery store about an hour ago to get dinner and was taking a while to decide what I wanted. Some lady was standing behind me...huffing and puffing. She told me to stop touching everything and spreading my germs and hurry up. I told her that I had every right to be there and would take as long as I need. She kept harassing me and I told her to Mod cut.. Then she started to cough on me!! People are seriously getting more nuts with this virus...

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

What do you mean no? I was there first and do have the right to take my time... I was wearing a mask and she could have gotten right next to me and picked out what she wanted.... That is absolutely no excuse to cough on someone.. it's ignorant.

You escalated the situation, knowingly and deliberately. What did you expect would happen, did you really think she'd back down, apologize maybe?

I didn't escalate the situation... I stood up for myself... Was I supposed to let her bully me and do what she wanted? Was the an excuse for her to cough on me? That's harassment.

You asked. No, I've never been in a similar situation. You were both inconsiderate and rude IMO. You didn't 'stick up for yourself'. You picked a fight by responding with behavior that was just as bad as hers.

My behavior was nowhere near as bad as hers... I don't know how you can say that. I have every right to look at the food I want to buy for as long as I need to.

What do you think I should have said? Should I have apologized after she was so rude? Not going to happen.. She needed to be told off. There's absolutely no excuse for coughing on someone, especially during these times...

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not? During these times, it can actually be considered assault... How would you feel if a stranger coughed on you on purpose?
