That wasn't the point of my original post. Obviously, we should live and let live as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I was commenting on it seeming like a "thing" with some younger people. Notice I said "some."
Everything and anything is a "thing" with some people.

Try to keep up, that's a trend comparison because you don't know for a fact they are being used as a 'stuffed support animal'. Apparently you didn't notice I gave two scenarios for comparison, one for trends and one for support.
Try to be rational ... you did no such thing. You're defending the weak woke.
Ok, I saw a woman in the grocery store with 3 other people, easily in her 70's holding a doll, I saw them try to put it in the basket but she was having none of it, so she held it like a baby, definitely a woman with developmental disabilities.
Totally different than someone that is not MRDD. A mentally normal person, I believe would find other ways for support, rather than carrying around a stuffed animal. My opinion, I just don't get it.
I as the OP think the main person I saw carrying the stuffed animal was either (1) a "little" like Sonic_Spork said, or (2) extremely shy, retiring, insecure, and needing something for comfort while out in public.
Not that that is a bad thing.
I only started the thread because it seems to be more common than in the past.
Again, not that that is a bad thing.
