No kidding...I've been wondering what happened....it's like someone moved away and left the fishing forum behind!
I broke open my storage boxes today and rigged up an ultra light rod with a Zoom soft plastic and hit the local community park today for about 90 mins.
Not one single bite. They say it's stocked but it's pretty shallow. Surely won't fulfill my needs.

Fishing has been slowed by red tide. We were out this week with my guide friend and picked at the sea trout on shrimp in Turtle Bay brought home 6 keepers for fish tacos and the freezer. Dam dolphins kept following us around scaring the fish away. Hopefully getting out again after wind dies.

Was supposed to go off-shore Friday with my wife but the wind really kicked up. I'm not that desperate!

Saw some BIG Sheepshead at the dock yesterday but too busy.

I'm almost caught up with repairing the "New House." I've only been out a few short times . Tolled up a couple of almost legal Snook, some nice big Jacks and caught some Mangrove Snapper on shrimp..in the Mangroves. Prior to Christmas I started to get the hang of local Blue Crabbing, Not many but HUGE.
I picked up a 17' Hydra Sports with a 90 HP Yamaha. I stripped out everything I didn't need, fixed every little thing ,added rod storage and a remote control bow mount Electric Motor. So Far So Good.

I repaired and baited my crab traps before setting them out this morning. I will hiring a local Captain again soon for more LOCAL fishing lessons. I have fished all over the east coast for 50 plus years. I like to tell my friends "I know a lot about fishing but nothing about fishing here."

Now I need to figure out how to get photo's from my phone to this site??

Absolutely. Without photos, it's just a fish story.

Is that a Cobia and is it on a line? Sweet regardless!
And I must ask, what is that on the hood of the Merc? Looks like some sort of access panel.
