Filled up at Burnt Store last Sunday and it was 3.45. I assume Marathon has come down proportionately on rec fuel. BTW, trout fishing is silly on the East Wall. Catch one for dinner in the first 5 min (that includes time to pin down and rig your rod), then break out your fly rod or ultralight with 2# test and have some fun. Pinch those barbs down; trout die too easily, and when you're catching 30 fish an hour, one lost fish doesn't matter.

I'm launching tomorrow morning to be on the grass flats at first light. Not a good tide but tomorrow is the only chance I have. Will be home in time for football.

Struck out today...nothing but a couple of lizards. I tried hard too. Launched at 630 in 40* weather...worked east side all the way past Burnt Store. Worked south end from Smokehouse Bay to the Jug Creek Shoals. Worked the west wall on my way home but it wasn't meant to be. Nonetheless, it warmed up nicely and the waves were flat to half foot. Gotta fish when ya can, right?

You look like you're ready to go striper fishing in the northeast MA. You know the old saying a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. Time for football now.

3 or so weeks ago, I went to the store in the morning. It was "cold" so I put on my old Buffalo parka and my 180's earmuffs. The people going in in front of me were wearing shorts and flip-flops (with legs as white as a plate of spaghetti). If somebody had told me there was a school of world record redfish cruising the harbor carrying "Catch Me" signs, I would have gone home and had a cup of cocoa.
