IMHO By street location only its 1. Sinclair St SE ( quick access to CH ) 2. Forbes Ter. ( Quick Access To The Myakka a ways to the Harbor ) 3. McCabe ( A little Farther to the Myakka and even farther to the Harbor)4. ********. ( Look up and down Chavez and at the homes surrounding that water retention pond ???)

For some Reason "******** Circle" gets deleted for me.. That house is stick built and as nice as it is and close to the Harbor.. that pond area and Chavez is IMHO Undesirable .. I live just a few blocks away and the area is totally different.. That same house/.... 3 bocks away would be 30 to 50K more..
Tired of this .. why does my A s hcr oft get censored?????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????

With a few exceptions you always will. None of artdax's listed areas are problem /crime areas though the one for sure has some issues due to proximity to people and homes I would not want to live close to. It looked like the County was finally going to clean up the "trash" but they for some reason backed away from the problem.. IMHO that signals that next election time, its time to replace ALL OF THEM!

ive found that most all over florida there goods next to bad I went to look at a boat in Bradenton once at a guy house I almost turned around going there the neighborhood was so bad my gps took me through then I tuned a corner from reaaal DUMPS to a hight class waterfront neighborhood. like port charlotte waterfront homes with non canal across the street .

I think I said with Edgewater closed I now hate driving up port charlotte blvd everyday.

I never felt unsafe in Port Charlotte , we lived on the North Port end. My (adult) kids have lived everywhere from Murdock to Deep creek and have never had an issue. There is an area off Midway between 41 and Kings Highway that is a little sketchy but even that is more theft than violence. All in all I'd say its a pretty safe city to live in.
