It indeed, never goes away....but there's a peace that comes with time...when you believe that your four legged friend is okay where they're at now. There is never any way to fill that void, only to move on with our lives...maybe that will include a rescue, another four legged friend will enter our lives...not as a replacement, but as another friend to share life with. I will always miss my beloved Barnie, and I certainly feel the pain that you and others feel when losing their friends. Yet, in my heart, I know I gave her a good life and that we shared a bond that time and distance can never break. I also believe that I will one day see her again...and this brings comfort when I feel sad.
Your kitty was a beauty, and clearly you both shared a special bond...thanks for sharing the photos. God bless and heal your sadness.
