I've seen Freudian slips before, but this is my favorite!

(PS, I worked in that mall for two years, and it DOES get old, even Chik-Fil-A! And your waistline will never forgive you!)
I just noticed that! it was totally freudian, I cannot take credit for a clever pun.

and no, I didn't seriously think I could get hired there. I'm planning to use some equity from the sale of my house to go back to school since that is the only thing I seem to be good at

A little more on this in today's N&O. Here's the main part of the story:

Quote:
As Chapel Hill considers whether to permanently move its library to University Mall, the key players are remaining silent.

...<snip>

Neither Madison Marquette nor Dillard’s will say when the department store’s lease is up, and Dillard’s won't comment for a story coming Sunday in The Chapel Hill News.

“Right now, they’re going to be there until their lease expires,” says University Mall General Manager Peter DeLeon. “At this stage, Dillard’s is not leaving; a lot of people are speculating about the idea, [but] there is nothing in writing.”

The Chapel Hill News has a story today about the potential impact of the library at the mall:

Are there any updates with putting the library at the mall permanently? Or are they going forward with the renovations on the original library?

The decision was to proceed with expansion at current library site.

It seems like the mall option was more expensive than originally thought. Also, the mall is built in a flood plain (although I've never seen that area flood, and I've lived here 22 years) and I think people thought it was less-than-wise to move our entire book collection to a potentially dangerous area. There could have been more reasons that contributed to the decision not to move. However, with all that said, the library will be moving to the mall during the construction process.

And they are not simply rennovating the existing library - it is being expanded.
