Is there anyone out there who can provide feedback on Daniels Middle School in Wake County? My girlfriend, her son, and I are moving to Raleigh in August, and her son will be attending Daniels (7th grader).
more then likely its going to be just like the rest of the schools in wake county, over-crowded, year-round, on a track in and track out system, and taught in a trailer....LOL
No, it's not going to become year round. It's a magnet, and too small to be on a year round schedule. It's an older school, most of which are too physically small to convert to YR. PLus, BECAUSE it is is magnet without a block schedule, they don't do YR for those schools. As for trailers, I have no idea, but the portable classrooms my children were taught in were nicer than the classrooms.
Daniels is fine, and the IB program is fantastic if you can get into it.
Daniels Middle School Is An Ib School As Mentioned. No, It Is Not A Year Round School And Not Quite As Crowded As One Might Believe. They Are One Of The Few Schools Left On The Traditional School Year.
The Administration And Staff Is Very Nice To Work With And I Would Go As Far To Say, It's Probably One Of The Better Magnet Schools Around.
