Heard all the sirens rush by on Wade Ave then saw helicopters hovering overhead. Didn't know what happened until the mailman told me what was going on!

This sounds like a domestic disturbance - not a random act or robbery. Very, very sad!

I'm hearing it was a domestic dispute. Very very sad. I hope there were no children involved.

Recently, murders (most likely all domestic) in Wakefield, Chapel Hill, and now Cameron Village. Horrific.

Weird considering Raleigh has been rated top 10 best cities for happy marriage. Maybe the economic downturn has caused stress in a lot of families.

Are domestic dispute-related murders sadder than other murders? I guess none of y'all exactly said that, but it seems to me like you may be implying a connection between the particular sadness of today's awful incident and its apparently being related to a domestic situation.

I did not think the previous posters inferred this. For me, any murder is horrific. I find it important for someone to differentiate between a domestic murder and one that is random and causes panic in the community.
