I work from home and I'm also an avid video gamer so this capacity is much appreciated. However, something exciting may happen this weekend and if it does I'll post the results here.
I'm moving here soon and currently have Comcast for internet and have there fastest speed (now 150mbps down/10 up). I need the extra speed due to working from home. I've been looking at twc and the highest I saw advertised was 50 mbps down. (and sadly only $10/month less then I pay now) is this the fastest speed they have? Is this with the increase? I couldn't look through the last 60 pages of this thread so i thought I'd ask. Thanks!
Here it comes...TWC announcing the start of the process in the Triangle with notices going out to customers this month. As in other areas, it will start with consolidating video services into digital, making way for the Internet speed boosts. Upgrades should be done by the end of the year, so it may be awhile yet for some.
According to WRAL, Maxx will come first to Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, with other towns following later.

You will have higher speeds available. The speedtest results aren't coming through on the last three quoted posts above, but are over 300/20.
The 300/20 tier will come to you for the cost of the 50/5, and TWC is in active roll out across the area.
You may want to contact them for an approximate date for any location you may consider living.
Just called in and they said September 8th for 27713. I also threatened to leave for AT&T Gigapower and they took my monthly bill for Extreme Internet from $59.99 -> $39.99 with very little hassle.
