I live in the Ten Ten area and more than one person I know who would have inside knowledge has told me to expect a Publix there.
Something is absolutely coming. The awnings have been changed out and they are constructing a new brick sign out by the devil strip on Kildaire.
It was easy for them to say that the location didn't interest them initially-it probably didn't. They have been shot down in a couple of other Raleigh area locations since, though, and although they may want to do scratch builds this will put them in business and building share pretty quickly.

The Sign Plan document with the Town of Cary does not specify the name of the tenant, but I'm sure the better sign will be more likely to attract an anchor since it is almost impossible to see the storefront from the road.

LOL at all the bashing of the person who originally shared the news.

"whomever this 'Publix' user is on here needs to get a life"

Earlier in this thread, I posted if Publix thought of locating in the immediate submarket when Lowe's Foods #196 closed. Today, Millpoint Village is one of three former Lowe's Foods store locations in North Carolina undergoing improvements to reopen as Publix.

No projected opening dates for these stores have been set. Dependent on the scope of improvements, they may open later this year or in early 2016.

I would not be surprised to see more new store announcements in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill region in the near future.

Looks like my e-mail to Publix worked. Guess I should try Wegmans next.
