Here in Clayton our garbage had a one day delay. I dont understand it. Up north it was due to garbage trucks also being used as snow plows, so that came first, but why here?
The 24th is really long? Do you still have to follow the "in the container' rule?
I'm still not moving there but come on, Cary is beating Raleigh on snow/ice removal AND garbage pick up?
It's been like that for as long as I remember. Cary is Yankeefied enough to take the snow removal seriously, as opposed to other more traditional towns/cities in the area.
The news and observer was delivering papers the morning of the storm. A guy in a very old Saturn ION was cruising down our street still covered in the ice and sleet about 10am. We all watched in amazement because no one thought he would make it back up the hill. BUT HE DID. Like a boss.
Phew. Somehow, City of Raleigh picked up my trash on Wednesday! That sucker was full, so good thing.
