Hello,
My wife and I are considering buying a house in the Westfall neighborhood in chatham county. We noticed that there is a wastewater treatment plant right in the community! We are looking for feedback from homeowners who live in Westfall about having the WWTP so close to where you live. Do you smell odors? Have flooding issues? Any other problems? Thanks in advance!

I'll let a Westfall resident comment specifically about their own neighborhood (I think there are one or two Westfall residents on here). A more general comment for you though: this is a pretty common setup in places not serviced by sewer lines (you either have an individual septic system onsite on your own property or the neighborhood has a community-wide system that everyone is tied into). The community-wide systems generally work pretty well without much in the way of odor issues, etc. I wouldn't expect Westfall to be any different, but it would be good to confirm that from an actual resident of the neighborhood.

I live in Westfall and it hasn't been a problem yet. Overall it is a great community. We love that it's in the up and coming area part of North Chatham (between Chatham Park and Chapel Hill) and you don't have the massive master planned community of Brier Chapel but still have access to all the shops and development coming in to support the population growth.

We are considering Westfall right now...... I'm wondering how the water pressure is there with a community well? The houses aren't selling quickly, so it's making me wonder why.

Drive around the area and look for a water tower. The neighborhood I'm moving into has its own well and waste system, as well as its own water tower for pressure.
