I haven’t tried Lemongrass yet. I’ll add it to my list.

I went to Co in Myrtle Beach. It kind of struck me as too Americanized and corporate to have good Asian food. More focused on ambiance than food. I haven’t been to the location in North Hills yet.

I was excited about David’s Dumpling when I first moved to Raleigh, but was underwhelmed. I haven’t been back.

Alamo Drafthouse is definitely better than other movie theaters, but I’d rather just eat dinner somewhere else. Also smelling the hamburger and pickles during the movie was really distracting. I went to Alamo Drafthouse in Virginia about 15 years ago on a date and this woman chainsmoked during all of Pirates of the Caribbean. I can’t even watch any of those movies without thinking of her. So glad you can’t smoke in there.

I also went to David's Dumpling when I first moved to Raleigh and while it was alright, I wouldn't say I was wowed and haven't been back since.

We had Tribeca Tavern last night. My french dip was excessively rosemary-ish.

Was still good, otherwise.

That place really is hit or miss, though.

Ordered from Papa Murphy's yesterday. We got a 16" pizza, half Hawaiian, half Pepperoni for just about $10. The pizza was good and loaded with toppings. Barely fit in our oven. Maybe not mind-blowing great, but a really good, inexpensive option for pizza.

We had our first disappointing experience there several months ago, around the time that the head chef departed (for Ruckus, I believe). I understand that the ownership group has changed since that time, but things had not improved at our last visit.

Went to Bartaco in North Hills last night. We had it on Sunday as well.

The tacos, at least the ones I tried, were pretty flavorful albeit very small. I had the chicken pastor and the crispy rock shrimp. Husband had the baja fish tacos. We tried the corn on the cob which was good. I normally hate cotija cheese but with the lime and cayenne on it the cheese was not so noticeable. We also had the guacamole and chips. The guacamole was nothing special....have had better.....have had worse and not really a fan of the chips (basically a round hard tostada shell).

I want to try the cauliflower taco next!

Anyone been to Garland in downtown Raleigh? Not normally a fan of fusion but chef is a James Beard semi-finalist.

I've been to Garland. It's pretty good especially their curries (obviously don't expect anything authentic but the food is good)

Garland is nice, but expensive. It’s good for a fancy date night out.
