Trees down/damage at school and power outages were all reasons for cancelling school the Monday after Florence, all are possibilities with this storm as well.
The good news is they've forgiven some of the time and we've already made some of it up....so....
I did and I don't take it back. Flash flooding or tornadoes can happen any day around here.
Except they closed because they had schools that were inaccessible do to downed trees. We have a County schools system, your little section of paradise might be OK but it is a big County and other parts might not be.
I would never want to be on the board, talk about a no win situation. Between bad weather closings and reassignments people are always going complain.

Did they? I didn't hear about any schools in Wake being inaccessible. And yes I understand how county schools work.
