At least for Wake, the order of makeup days is listed on the school calendars. For traditional calendar, the next vacation day to be used as a makeup would be December 20.

You can take the Fish out of WRAL, but you can't take WRAL out of the Fish.

Thanks for that info. I wish they would just close school on October 31, so they would still have a three day weekend.

The rescan of over-the-air TV signals has been postponed to the 11th. Authorities don't want anyone to have difficulty locating TV channels until after Dorian has passed.

Did anyone see the genius who took his Jeep onto the beach in Myrtle Beach...as the tide was coming in. Apparently called the police for help and the police were like "nah" and so were any tow trucks. SC tags on it too.

Parts of Emerald Isle got ravaged by a tornado.

October 31 is already a workday. They are now off 10/31 and back to school on 11/1.

Good thing we're closed today. An early release would not have served us well at all

Think fareblue meant October 31 as makeup instead of November 1. One day off, one day on, and then the weekend is dumb. I'd rather have Friday off after trick or treating than Halloween itself anyway.

I know. I just meant that I wished they would have had the makeup day on 10/31 so they would have off on the Friday and weekend instead of a random Thursday and back to school. I already signed my child up for camp tomorrow. I'm counting on school being closed tomorrow.

This should be a billboard for Myrtle Beach.
