At least for Wake, the order of makeup days is listed on the school calendars. For traditional calendar, the next vacation day to be used as a makeup would be December 20.

October 31 is already a workday. They are now off 10/31 and back to school on 11/1.
Think fareblue meant October 31 as makeup instead of November 1. One day off, one day on, and then the weekend is dumb. I'd rather have Friday off after trick or treating than Halloween itself anyway.
I know. I just meant that I wished they would have had the makeup day on 10/31 so they would have off on the Friday and weekend instead of a random Thursday and back to school. I already signed my child up for camp tomorrow. I'm counting on school being closed tomorrow.
