Grocery and shops only. No farmer’s markets. We use Produce Box but want to add some additional flexibility.

Just curious...why not farmer's markets? That IS the best produce.

Agreed - except I'll go with Lidl. Aldi pre-packs most of their produce in packages that are too large for two people.

Weaver Street Market. Full of local and organic produce so like a farmer's market but at the store. After that I'd say Whole Foods.

I have been meh on some of the produce from Wegman's but compared to other grocery stores, no major complaints.

Also would be curious why not the Farmer's Market? That is ultimately the best place

We love Lidl. Was in Wegman's once and was shocked at the quality and prices of the produce. We drove to HT and did a lot better.

I buy 95% of my weekly produce needs at Trader Joe's.. very consistent good quality, reasonable prices. Honestly, most of the other stores I've tried come up short. Maybe it's the high turnover rate, but I never have a problem with spoiled items purchased at TJ's. But try to buy some lettuce or kale at Harris Teeter, ugh!

How are the Whole Foods Markets in your area when it comes to produce, especially organic?

Cary, NC 27518
Raleigh, NC 27607 and 27615
Chapel Hill, NC 27514

I have found the produce at Whole Foods in Raleigh (27607) to be of poor quality. I’ve never seen so much wilted to almost spoiled produce at any other store in the area. It is almost as if the folks stocking the shelves couldn’t care less about what they were putting out. And overpriced to boot. Couldn’t care less if it is labeled Organic or not. Horse manure is organic…. Though most regular shoppers there seem to care less about quality than other virtue signaling.
