Eh. Hoping for 11 in 7 as of Friday night.
Uhh apparently. I hear 10 points in 7 games on a broadcast earlier. 9 in 6 is better... 11 in 7 even better than that.

Freddie seems to be struggling. Not a good sign.

Yes. Off to a slow start, and he and Raanta are both in a contract year.

Of course, the Canes D could be supporting Freddie better.

Necas ties game late, Burns wins it in overtime.

2 points is 2 points.

Tied for 1st in the Metro with 11 points in 8 games (I checked this time). The biggest surprise there though is that we're tied with the Flyers of all teams. I know it's early, but with real leadership behind the bench, they might just be a contender themselves this year.

Though another early takeaway in this young season.... Boston with 16 points in 9 games..... Yowzers!

Agreed. Much of the Canes' success last season could be attributed to his stellar play. I'm not down on Raanta but he's not the goalie that Freddie was last season before the injury. Absent Pacioretty, I don't believe the Canes have the offensive power to beat the best teams with average goaltending.

If Ovechkin could be denied access to the left circle, the Caps goal scoring would drop by half. Seems to me every one of his goals come from there and he scores every time he's in there.
