It was Binnington's decision to check Staal, or try to. Good no-call by the officials.

Ouch.
OT loss to the Ducks, who have only 1 win in regulation this season, but are masters of OT.

3v3 line changes in OT are a Canes disaster.

Canes Win....
Played their game exactly as they want to on the Island.

We'll find out what this team is made of before Christmas.
6 games against teams either playoff-bound, or definitely on the bubble.

At Detroit
Seattle
At Dallas back to back then at home with...

Pittsburgh
New Jersey
At Pittsburgh back to back then at home (7th game) with Philly.

Then, hard-earned visions of sugar plums.

Good win last night.

Need to keep pedal down to the metal though, standings are tight this season.

Not unusual this time of year. But it looks like the Canes are putting it back together. As I said before, just about every team goes through some kind of funk (or two even) throughout the long season.

They're going to be OK.

6 home games in 10 days and the road/TV game on Day 11?

I'm going to need the Christmas break as badly as the boys will.

1-0 win?
On the edge of our seats the last 7 minutes. Kochetkov is definitely the hot hand.

Jarvis' pass to Skjei on the PP was truly awesome.

Only one team in the league (Arizona) has played fewer homes games than the Canes. If the Canes can develop a killer instinct at home, the second half of the season should be fun.
