But up 2-0... could the Canes follow up a home (blowout) loss to the worst team in the league with a road win over the best team in the league?
The NHL is the B team. They have a captive fan like me. I pay for Youtubetv, and ESPN+ to watch games. Today the Bruins are playing Carolina on NHLNetwork which is not carried on youtubetv. So I decide to cancel Youtube, and go back to Fubo. I was on Fubo until the playoff last year, but fubo does not carry tnt.
My major mistake was forgetting the nhlnetwork will get blacked out and neither fubo or youtube carry local sports in Raleigh.
So I ordered directvstream and got into the game with 5 minutes left in the first. I'm going to cancel directv now because nhlnetwork is not on their lowest tier.
But Geez NHL you really make fans thread a needle.
That bad stretch last Spring occurred after the Canes had pretty much secured a playoff spot though. Right now they look a mess.
Barring a complete choke job tonight, the Canes are about to move to the 4th win in a row and 9 points in 5 games.
Yeah, 5 losses in a row is tough, but the Canes still managed to scrape a point in 4 of those 5 games. I'd much rather have a short swoon in November than in March/April. The Canes will be OK.
That was a game worthy of staying up for, indeed.
L.A. Kings have offensive weapons, and we kept them pretty muffled.
Now, 2 days off and a trap game in Anaheim. Rod and his crew need to keep the boys focused and game ready. Anaheim doesn't lose all their games.
Wonder if Kooch will be taking over the #1 goaltender slot?
Sounds like 2005-06 when a rookie Cam Ward saved the season, although not this early.
