This is not counting the telephone calls. Many neighbors have told me they are getting offers in the mail too.

Check the envelopes. I got one today that had a return address in the next state that is close by but the mail came from California. Like you, I am wondering what these people are up to. The letter inside gave a number to call but it said no one would answer. My opinion is that is so rude. If a business cannot have a human answering the telephone they are not worth my time. I just keep collecting the offers. It is interesting to find that several companies have sent more than four offers that probably come from a professional mailing service. There is no way I would ever do business with such characters.

"Legit" offers ARE serious. Seriousness is a component of legitimacy.
