PG&E has been working to prevent many of these fires in Northern CA.
Statistically speaking, only 3% to 6% of fires are caused by electric utilities. So even if the utility completely eliminated all equipment fire starts it would do virtually nothing to reduce the risk of wildfire.
I think it looks like there has been a fire. They demoed the house and cleaned it up but there's lots of blackened trees around. The paved driveway shape indicates buildings that are no longer there. They decided to sell it as is so the buyer could put in their own house.
On edit... here's an interesting thing.... the current google earth 3D rendering still has the house there, and it does look like there was a fire. The flat image of the ground looks like it is after the fire, but the 3D renderings of the buildings and the trees are still there. Interesting glitch of things updating at different times. (updated again with screencapture before google maps updates again and it's lost)
Looks like there was a wild fire. (October 2019) - the infamous Kincade wildfire.
The cause stated on Wikipedia:
electrical transmission lines located northeast of Geyserville owned and operated by PG&E

Here is a neat Medieval (style) castle on almost 60 acres overlooking Deerhorn Valley for you to enjoy.
It has a fireplace and roof terrace.
Views are pretty spectacular, although I doubt that they actually can see the ocean.

The best thing that "castle" has going for it is that it's probably pretty wildfire safe. Jamul is in eastern San Diego County in a fire-prone area. I don't know how home insurers would actually treat it regarding insurability but it looks like the owners have made a good attempt to be fire-safe.
It might have a peek-a-boo glimpse of the ocean on a clear windy day but I'd think it would be miniscule and might need a dash of imagination thrown in.
It's not my cup of tea so I won't be rushing down there to buy it. I never was a fan of Jamul (native San Diegan here) to begin with but hopefully someone will love it.
PS - for those who aren't familiar with the area, it's pronounced "Ha Mool". Just thought I'd throw that in.
