I then asked him what some of his were, and do you know what he told me? That he's a nice guy, and he's too nice .... ummmm yaaaa that's not a flaw! Nice try buddy.
Haha! I love his answer! Mostly because that question sucks. It's like going into an interview and having the interviewer ask, "What is your biggest weakness?"
I always answer "double-stuffed Oreos" and if they pressure me into answering seriously, I say "I'm a perfectionist and I work too hard."

Canned response for a canned question.
Fine, fine, dumb question. But he's been selling me this "I'm just a nice guy" bs from the beginning and it was getting a little old.
And if that was the only thing, I would have kept dating him. Really the main thing was that he wasn't willing to really make time for me besides when it was convenient for him, and I constantly felt scrutinized. I can't feel comfortable being myself when I feel like I'm under a microscope.
I agree..I am more of the intimate one guy girl until you p**s me off than i have one waiting on the side chick---The greatest things about being single!!!
You and me both. I feel like I got thrown into a game and I have absolutely no idea what the rules are .
But one thing I have noticed is that putting on a facade seems to come with the territory. I was trying to be open and honest with the guy I'm dating and I told him some of my flaws. I then asked him what some of his were, and do you know what he told me? That he's a nice guy, and he's too nice .... ummmm yaaaa that's not a flaw! Nice try buddy.
But that's it. No more.
You may have popped things to a level that he wasn't ready to go to and are critical for his response when suddenly put on the spot.
You just sound frustrated and I think if you step back you might see how it's possible you were in the wrong in the exchange yet came away disappointed in him?
Based upon comments, approximately how old are you and how long were you out of dating? Are you coming off a bad divorce or something?
I returned to dating at age 38-39 after being off-market since age 23 so it's a COMPLETELY different environment....happy to discuss.
