Some people change a lot from 19 to 26. I'm 19, so a 14 year age gap would be 19 and 33. Are you saying I should date a 33 year old?
Besides, it sounds like this 26 year old is older on the inside (meaning he's more mature than the average 26 year old).
I think because of how young I am, the age gap makes a big difference when the female is older. Girls mature before boys.
You're absolutely correct. The 26 year old IS more mature than most men his age. Despite my physical age, I can be and tend to be very playful and I just take one day at a time and enjoy life in a very lighthearted way so I can see why men his age often come onto me. I have a son who is 20, turning 21 in March. You asked if you should date a 33 year old? At your age, probably not, even though thats the same age difference I have.
My son is dating someone who is 24. My daughter who is 22 has considered men about 10 - 12 years older. I really think at the end of the day it's how you you and the person of interest intersect mentally. It has nothing to do with the actual number (age) and everything to do with how you connect emotionally, mentally and physically.
Geez, a few years really make that much of a difference? Age is only important if you make it so.
You said there's a big difference between 19 and 16, but I think there's a big difference between 19 and 22 as well. A 22 year old is likely out of college and way more experienced sexually than me. That's one of the reasons I prefer a 16 year old over a 22 year old...my lack of experience is less likely to bother the 16 year old. And no, I wouldn't use her for sex. I don't even want to have sex.

Not every college aged woman is like those girls from 'Girls Gone Wild' .
The media makes it out like everyone is having freaky sex all the time. The reality is many people have more boring sex lives. I'm sure you can find one of them.
A 16 year old is still not fully mature yet. Trust me you're on more of the same maturity level as most 22 year old women than a 16 year old schoolgirl.
