Nope. It is the other 2000 post you have made about facebook that gives you that title.

I always say, they're your "ex" for a reason...no need to put them among your facebook friends.

Then again, some people just add everyone they know so it looks like they have a lot of friends...

Word.

I've got plenty of exes on my FB friends list. My husband wasn't thrilled with it at first, but honestly?

They're exes for a reason. I no longer want to date any of them. Doesn't mean I don't ever wanna speak to them or know that they're doing okay.

I'm a nice person that way.

One of my bestest FB buddies is an ex of mine that I dated in high school. HIGH SCHOOL.

That was years ago.

I love him like a brother, but I sure don't wanna date the man again.

LOL!

It is entirely possible for women to have ex's on their list and not have it be a threat at all.

Women and men look at these things differently.

Men, however, have their ex's on a list because of the romp potential. Doesn't mean they will search for it or even really want it, just want to be available if the opportunity arises.

You are probably right.

This explains my ex and his attentiveness toward me over the last couple of years on FB.

Ah well. I'm married now. He had his chance.

I understand people can feel envious, insecure, territorial, etc.. Natural human emotions, we have them.

That said, I am usually amazed by the amount of time people spend on facebook, agonizing about facebook, and making posts on forums to agonize about facebook. Sign up for an account, and you sort of have to resign yourself to see or interact with people you don't necessarily like. Nature of the beast in social networking. I'm tied to my LinkedIn, and people I don't want to see pop up in my feed all the time.

If you're gonna be on facebook anyway, why not learn about how powerful it is, and use its power to your benefit? Learn how to add pages with FBML (facebook Mark Up Language...it's easy and fun), add videos, create apps, whatever. Make it fun, and forget the exes in the process. Being a facebook power-user is great skill to have, and many employers nowadays require it. I totally dug in my heels and resisted at first, but then I saw how necessary it was to a lot of jobs, in my field and not.
