LOL I just find all this bashing of American women to be ridiculous because well....which men do we interact the most with? American men. Who are we (usually) trying to attract/date? American men. Who has the same upbringing and culture? American men.
To just say all these terrible things about American women, as if we're worse than women of every other nationality, when we share the same culture, environment and learned social behaviors as those who are bashing us....it's just hilarious.
It is in the Asian culture. Divorce is uncommon but family gets a bad reputation if one gets divorced especially if its a girl.
Yeah, and that's why I don't plan to marry a traditional (emphasize)Asian guy. They're the "good guys" and we're the "bad guys" because everything is our fault. If they stop abusing us and acting like they're gods... One of my guy friends know that as a man he's "important" and because he's a Pastor's son. You know how much I despise people who think like that?

Ha, that's funny. I agree with you though. If you (in general) are ignorant about foreign women (especially Asian women), you just sign your death. Just kidding. Really though, foreign women (talking specifically about Asian women) are more familiar to traditions and customs (if that's what you like). As a Asian-American women, I am still familiar to my traditions and customs, but I refuse to obey the negative traditions. There are good things that I value but negative traditions? In the trash they go. Is that too hard for people to understand?

Strange that people often see the dangers on the developing personality when it has access to excessive privilege, "spoiled rich kid", but seem oblivious to this tendency collectively. Yes the US is a great country in many aspects just like a mansion is superior to a bungalow. If we all posses a US passport like Willy Wonka's golden ticket, there are many spoiled brats among us.
One of my favorite observations in a thread like this is the rather large group of people who dislike generalizations while simultaneously declaring all people are basically the same. Makes one wonder why one bothers to patronize an Italian restaurant or a Chinese one, but I am not sure which side they are on. What's the difference? The defensiveness of the women, and the men who use it for spite make the subject nearly worthless to discuss.
There are many reasons why "foreign" is attractive or more effective. One is sex is designed to spread somewhere between incestuous to completely foreign. Some countries get it just right. Another is race sometimes harmonizes more with sexual traits in certain contexts. Another aspect to this is investment. People actually do worse with no load mutual funds because they buy and sell them more often than those who pay a hefty fee to get in. Even though the investment is worse, their commitment to it is more. Not much investment when you meet at the local pub verse someone who maintained something at a distance. Then of course there are real differences.
But why should we bother with that? The spite, recriminations, convenient fictions, horror stories and exaggerations are more fun. Someone knows a German guy. Another looks at a website. How can you go wrong?
This is what we may conclude. Overseas it is teaming with young, beautiful women whose breast size automatically adjusts to the observer's preference. However they are soulless creatures who only desire a green card and simply detest their own culture where they were born. Everyone is special, and everyone is basically the same.
Just because someone is traditional does not mean they are good.
