Little thngs are the nicest things. Some recent stuff....an acquaintance helping with a flat tire. Another.... I was getting ready to get on a train platform on a line headed for downtown. A lady on the street waved me over to ask where I was going and told me just to get in the cab she just called. She refused to let me pay anything.

I don't think I've been super nice lately. I might be jaded. Something nice did in high school gym was to play badminton with this girl who had some sort of developmental problem. I played easy, so she would have someone to play with.

Wow, you deserve a rep but I couldn't rep you. That's really nice of you.

Nicest thing? I pay for my friend's gas for a year (most of the time). She was constantly broke because she paid off her all bills. In the end, she has (almost) nothing left.

No, it was a friend of my husbands wanting to drive back out here, when it was pretty obvious that he had no business behind a wheel...but he thought he was "just fine.' NOT!

Nicest thing I did for someone: took care of financially dependent members (very nearly or close to 100%) for over 10+ years as sole provider, even when they were verbally-abusive and/or cruel and unappreciative.

Nicest thing someone did for me? Gave me their heart completely, in unconditional love and loving affection (a rare and priceless gift).

ETA: another incredibly nice thing that someone did not me: a high school female friend gave me a beautiful, very fancy balloon, on Valentine's Day about 15 or so years ago. (It wasn't a romantic thing of course lol, as she had a steady b/f at the time, and was actually 2 years older than me, but I felt very touched by the wonderful and amazingly kind gesture from her. I kinda looked up to her in a "big sister" kind of way )
