The only part of this post that I read was "Musical capacity of Maynard from Tool"

Good taste in music, that's worth quite a few "points" in my book

Salma Hayek's character in "Fools Rush In"...beautiful, artistic, free spirited, independent, and passionate.

Pam Grier's character in "Jackie Brown"...sexy, strong, streetsmart, confident, yet mellow and easy going.

Juliette Binoche's character in "Dan in Real Life"...creative, passionate, funny, confident, wordly, and sexy.

Strictly for pleasure...Barbara Eden in "I Dream of Jeannie"...do I really need to explain this?

I was thinking along the lines of Mr. Knightley from Emma. If he looked like Jeremy Northam that wouldn't hurt, either.

In more realistic terms, probably someone like Jim from the Office, or Mark from the first seasons of Parks and Recreation.

Leonard Hoefstadter, from The Big Bang Theory. Smart, funny, boyish, humble, sweet...if he were a real person, I'd be haunting the comic book stores in Pasadena every weekend, hoping to run into him.

The OP took mine: Pam from The Office. She's totally got the girl next door vibe. And she's also cute, without being smoking hot and self-absorbed.

For someone such as myself who does not watch television or movies, I have no idea what anyone is talking about.

Doesn't anybody read books anymore?

Detective Robert Goren (Law & Order CI) Big burly teddy bear of a guy with old school-style toughness; intelligent and cultured with a razor sharp wit...To me, he is totally hot, but not in that "look at me I'm so hot" kinda way.

Sure, I've read the complete works of Emerson and some a couple times. You are certainly free to post your favorite book character, writer or real person.
