We don't stop for holidays so they have little meaning to us when we are here. No cube to escape though so that part is good. Anyhow all you escapees enjoy!

Aww...we don't stop for holidays either. Between us working for vacation business, face painting and airbrush gigs, we end up working on Holidays. Well... I will echo your sentiments.

For us then let us hope business is good! To be honest there would be little point in taking a day off here anyways. You are not among loved ones, there are few activities that can be enjoyed, and the expenses add up working or not.

Yep, may the money flow this weekend if we are not spending it with the loved ones!! Well, for me, I would prefer to be off this Monday, but sometimes we just have to do what we have to do.

My kid is such an emotional child!!! When I got him today he was telling me about an incident in school where a boy (his classmate) got bullied by someone else. As he was telling me this, he got so emotional, he was crying as he was relating the details to me. He gets upset when someone else is upset, and he lets it out openly. He doesn't keep it in. It took me some time to calm him down and now he is sleeping on a couch.

Thank you so much! I think in the way it's good that he feels someone else's sorrows, because it teaches him compassion. I just hope that he doesn't put too much weight on his little shoulders, as I don't like seeing him so upset.

lol Its hard to tell where kids are headed MM. It is something that everyone knows up front but is surprising anyways when things happen you flat didn't see coming. It's one of the cooler things about raising kids, this seeing what they become.

It's true. I'm sure excited to see what the future will bring with my kid. Come to think of it, I was also very emotional and compassionate as a child...
