Something I wish I had learned in my younger days that I know now is women get older.. Whenever i go back to visit in my home town I will see some chick I wanted to date back in the day because she was HOT.. Today she is NOT.

Granted I'm sure some women say the same thing about me but I don't care.. This is my observation and they come after me.. Now when my nephews complain about some girl giving them a hard time I point out some old lady and say that's her in about 40 years.. gravity is for real..

I am probably past the prime "cougar" age. But at my age, sex is like a drug, that I am completely addicted to. It is an incredible adrenalin high of intensity. Once, unleashed...I am out of control. Which is why, I treat sex like a Demon, that cannot be unleashed...it is insatiable. I have worn out several partners, so, now, I just quietly wear my church lady clothes, and try to focus my life on other pursuits.

I prefer Puma as I'm only 36. I've got a 23yo chasing after me right now. Hmmm, I haven't had young meat in a long time

Especially since the spotty geeks who use that word don't stand a snowball's chance in hell.

I wouldn't mind being with a slightly older woman (maybe up to 10 years) but then again I wouldn't want to be with anyone more than 10-15 years younger either. But I'm sure you'll agree the stereotype is certainly there. Men who prefer younger women aren't necessarily seen as more virile than those who don't, although that's often the case, but not to the same extent.

I personally find terms like 'Cougar' and 'MILF' more suited to a teen flick, more what teenage boys would say, but since they've become popular it's easier to just use them because everyone knows what they mean.
I wasn't aware young men were so popular with older women, that's a new one to me.

However I can see the logic; if a woman's sex-drive peaks at/around age 35 and a young man's does early on, I guess a well-read woman might see that advantage.

IDK, maybe its just me.
Agreed. There are no names like this for men.

Actually, men are called creepy, pedo, pathetic, etc. Cougar life is embraced by our media which influences our culture.

I guess I don't understand. Truth be told, I'm not real privy to this culture. Cougar to me indicates that women are on the hunt and that men would be unwilling "victims" or that they need to be on their guard in a bad way.

Also men are also called "studs", "players", "bachelors" etc. The most endearing term a woman past a certain age can look forward to being called besides cougar is MILF. Don't even get me started on the nasty words used to describe sexually liberal women of any age.

Cougars represent female empowerment as well as a male fetish. Like everything in life there are two angles to look at it from, depend on who's view you take.

I'm wondering how the term 'cougar' even came to be in the first place. Seems a little random.
