This seems to be the case. That most women only want younger men for what they can do in bed, and because they are prettier, younger and stronger. But I'm sure many just like the youthfulness of a younger partner, without the sexual aspect. I'm sure some also want a relationship, not just sex (of course that's an important component lol). I wouldn't mind being with a slightly older woman (maybe up to 10 years) but then again I wouldn't want to be with anyone more than 10-15 years younger either. But I'm sure you'll agree the stereotype is certainly there. Men who prefer younger women aren't necessarily seen as more virile than those who don't, although that's often the case, but not to the same extent.

I personally find terms like 'Cougar' and 'MILF' more suited to a teen flick, more what teenage boys would say, but since they've become popular it's easier to just use them because everyone knows what they mean.

I'm wondering how many women are offended by terms like Cougar. I mean really if you break it down, it is pretty demeaning to older women.

IDK, maybe its just me.

Hm, I thought "Cougars" were women who just missed being mothers and that it was more of a mother/son relationship..

Glad I got that cleared up.

MILF and Cougar are both offensive, imo, but MILF is worse.

Not every woman whose husband or SO is younger than she is, is a "cougar" or a "MILF." I'm 45, my SO is 35, and it's safe to say we both think your assumption is ridiculous.

Tri, maybe you wouldn't have so many questions if you just stopped trying to stuff people into stereotypes. Take each person you meet on an individual basis.

When I think 'cougars' I usually think 15-20 years...no I don't stereotype like that at all though. I'm criticising society's stereotypes.

Well I would have to agree to some extent with Yzette.. when I met my ex I never even thought about him being 7 years younger. It was just a number.. he was one of the olderst thinking men I've ever known LOL... I was the adventerous type not him.. I'm sure the OP is just trying to get opinions but I'm not sure what to tell you except anyone can be attacted to anyone... It wasn't something I had on a list of "to do's" when I started the relationship...
