IMO, not all "cougars" are sexually aggressive and seeking younger men. They may simply be seeking (sometimes aggressively) some kind of relationship, and display certain stereotypical traits in attire and behavior. I don't see the term "cougar" as being offensive - I just see it as a convenient label for people who exhibit certain traits. A term like MILF is offensive - SAM may be better (sexually attractive mother). Of course, that would lead to SAG (which may offend some, but may also be more "descriptive" in a sardonic way).

Notice how many names refer to women as animals?

Cougars are always on the hunt, and I guess big cats represent something feral and wild. Just like how a virile man is a 'tiger' in bed lol.

Does anyone else find the term 'MILF' disrespectful?

I was called a MILF the other day by a guy who couldn't have been older than around 18. It felt awkward. I certainly don't think of myself as one and it was weird being called one by someone young enough to be my son.

I do think it is disrespectful and vulgar, especially because of of what the letters represent. I would never seriously refer to any woman as a MILF.

If I'm not mistaken, Viagra was named after the Sanskrit word for tiger.

The Chinese took that TOO literally. Hence tiger penis soup.
