If you don't like it or it's not your cup of tea, that's cool, but I don't want to hear you complain about it in front of me or try to shove your beliefs onto me because you're wasting my time and your breath.

I watch it from time to time, but what I watch hasn't changed much in 20 years. I don't care for the recent popularity of back door action or anything that could be painful though. If its 100% pleasureable for both parties I give it a thumbs up.
Porn is no different than romance novels or stupid chick movies that idealize relationships. It's not real and it ****s up your ability to deal with people. I stopped watching porn a while back and have noticed my ability to relate to women is much better. It'd be nice if these women would stop getting dating tips from crap like Cosmo or Twilight.
You make a good argument.
I would also argue that it's up to a man or woman to not take porn or romance novels (respectively) too seriously. It's when one becomes dependent on this type of extracurricular "satisfaction" to the point where the lines between fantasy and reality blur.
There are some erotic romance novels (for women) that really are nothing but porn with far more sophisticated plot lines and a HEA for all of the characters involved. Trust me, I know my stuff on this. I'm not into these types of books, but a lot of women are. Go figure.
That men and women seek these things out doesn't necessarily suggest that they have a character deficit. Or, in fact, that their relationship with their others is lacking. But when taken to the extreme? When a person relies on them as a "main course" rather than an "in-between meal snack?"
I'm into watching porn, but only when in the presence of the opposite sex. The thing that bothers me is when a group of my male friends get together, e.g. sports parties, and at some point one of them will think it's cool to show the rest of us a heterosexual porn flick. Let me be the first to say, looking at porn in the presence of a bunch of hard legs is not my idea of a half-time show. Watching porn gets me aroused, which normally leads to something physical. And, when it's time to get physical, the only thing another man can do for me, is tell me where his sister is at.
I dont have a daughter, problem solved. Porn is just entertainment, come out of your bubble and live a little. If you dont like porn, dont watch it
The reality is that most people who do porn have been sexually abused in childhood. If you are watching porn, you are supporting these porn "actors" and "actresses" in a very unhealthy way of life. It's similar to the way buying illegal drugs supports violence and enriches a few evil drug kingpins.
