Well, whether or not guys like it - if they're with me - they're gonna get it!

The original post mentions that the girl would be on the giving and the receiving end of the humour.

Hell no, not always. Most of the time they come off as wannabe Bill Murrays, insufferable and pretentious. Not everyone can pull that off.

I'd rather have a ditz before a girl trying to pull off that mess.

Think this all kinda falls in line with being fun-loving. Woman who love to laugh are great to be around in general.

Most guys I've been with have loved my sense of humor, but a rare few have found it threatening (I was accused of showing off in front of his friends.)
Yeah they don't wanna be 'upstaged.'

I think women do and can be as funny as men, but for some reason they just don't show it as much. I really do believe this, even though many women I see don't seem very funny, I think they can be if they sort of relaxed and 'let go' a bit.

I'm not a clown but I do joke around now and then - not so much in a goofy way, most of the time, more making wise cracks and wry observations.

The ones who find it threatening - THEY are too uptight.

Btw, anyone notice a lot of leading ladies in old movies actually had quite a wit on them?

I was actually listening to an old song (from the 40s!) and a woman was talking about a guy laughing at HER jokes! So it's nothing all that new, really.

Well seriously what guys are looking to be won over like they're the chick on the date?

As long as the girl is funny, cool and sexy, there is no need to butter the bread anymore.
