Flirted with? As in smiles, little waves and talked to randomly and occasionally offered a coffee if near a coffee shop kind of thing? Monthly i suppose...
Hit on? As in asked to meet them later for a date or given a phone number? Bi-Monthly maybe, maybe 5/6 times a year...
I run every day and my route takes me past a few schools before i reach a nearby canal so i get said "hello" to and waved at by some of the Mums that i've been running past for the last 3 years. Sometimes i'll get called to stop, mostly not though.
For some reason my wife finds this hilarious.. Apparently i'm "unaware" as in "how could you not of noticed her flirting? I may as well of not have been there.. You great eejit!" kind of way.
(BTW i don't wear my wedding ring most of the time (Army regs say "NO!" to that) so i only wear it when we go out of an evening).
2 men said they get hit on once a day? Who are you, Matthew McConaughey? There is no normal or even above average guy that gets hit on by women once a day. Not buying it at all. I selected never, but I'm sure I've missed some signals, but they were only signals (a look, for example), not being approached. That just won't happen no matter how "ripped" I am, how much hair I have, or how young I look. I just know this. Maybe if I wear my old wedding ring as an experiment, it will happen because some random woman will think I'm taken. But it only happened once when I was married. Such a shame. Sigh...
I should have selected "a few times in my life". Its just been so rare....

I work part-time as a bartender, it's an occupational hazard. It used to happen a lot more when I worked in more of a cheesy bro bar than the place I work now (but happened the most when I worked in a hotel bar by far).

its not strange at all, its a given. taken men present a challenge and a prize, not to mention a stupid mindset that if he's good enough for someone else, there must be something about him. My biggest hurdle in dating isnt approaching women or seducing them, but the fact that im 36, have no kids and have never been married. A woman i dated recently practicaly drove me crazy trying to find out something wrong about me, because of this. It was like every 15 minutes, she would try to dig into my past and find out how its possible for me to have never been married or have kids. Single guys who have no luck with women - do yourself a favor and ensure that any woman you meet, knows that you have other women interested in you - because that will land you substantialy more success with the ladies.

I agree with some of this. I think some are confusing idle chat or friendliness with being hit on.
It's somewhere between a few times a year and a few times in my life, but I picked the latter.
And yeah, y'all dudes who said you get hit on twice a day must look like Leonardo DiCaprio or something.
