Certainly not. Given the choice between an average woman and a gorgeous woman---with all other attributes being equal---most men would choose the gorgeous woman. And if the man is rich he will look for a better looking woman even if he's average looking.
That said, if a woman is gorgeous but has the personality of a piece of toast or the brains of a squirrel she may not fare as well as an average looking woman.

Can an average woman with a physically fit body compete with a gorgeous woman with an amazing body for the same men?
Absolutely, why not? I have to think that the average woman with a physically fit body has just as much to offer as a gorgeous woman with an amazing body...all other things being equal.
It also depends on the eye of the beholder and his view of that is average and what is gorgeous.
Think of it like this, If a woman has a choice between 2 guys she's likes, one plays in the Nba and the other works at Walmart.
Who is she picking?
