But what nice guys have to figure out is that the dating world does not run on a transactional basis. This can be tough if you were raised to be a nice guy with the expectation of getting something but once you change this mind set the world starts opening up to you.
That's a profound statement.

Ideally, we "should" all be raised to be nice and kind and courteous to others, because it's the right way to behave, not because you get something in return/reward for it. That's why being nice isn't enough, because everyone should be nice as a bare minimum standard of conduct.
