Ok thanks because it just sounded like she is a prostitute or somethingg because she and her family is poor and she is very friendly with all the foreigners and male foreigners there.
I have no idea if she is or not, but I've never heard of "expert in international lodging" being a euphemism meaning hooker. If that's what you wanted to know, you should have asked that first.
I have no questions. I don't get my research from Wikipedia. But thanks!
That's why I said primer. I didn't think you wanted me to send you right to the peer-reviewed scientific journals that I can't imagine you read unless you're also in the field, but if that's what you prefer, I can do that. (Plenty of them are cited in the wiki entry, which is actually quite good.)
Most of the recent articles and books claiming dependence have been written by drug treatment providers. Who have in turn benefited enormously from the expansion of treatment services to users. Many of whom are pressured or forced into treatment by parents, relatives, courts or employers.
May be this guys case who knows and who cares. Maybe as mentioned earlier, he got slipped some sort of drug up in those hills, and he's a bit whacked in the head right now.
I think it best this wife keeps her man well away from the 18 year old girl. She might be seducing him and he doesn't even know it. The witch thing seems a little over the top but some folks are seriously into that sort of thing.

Ha, awesome. In other words, like everything else in science, it's studied by the people who best understand it. Since experts in every field of science benefit from a better understanding of their field, they're obviously biased, and we should ignore their research, right? That's the same line of anti-intellectual B.S. used by climate change deniers, evolution deniers, and round Earth deniers, among others. Classic.
I know I said I wouldn't threadjack, but I had no idea I'd run into this level of silliness begging for a response. We now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion of South Asian psychedelics and international lodging experts.

Thanks for your reply but do you have any idea what international lodging means? That 18 year old girl is an expert in international lodging. What is that? Anybody?
You mentioned he was an ex-drug user who just went through rehab one year ago. You also mentioned that folks go up to the hills in search of drugs. I suspect this is what he was doing.

No no I never said he went up to the hills in search of drugs, I said both of us went up to the hills in search of a hotel room.
