My problem with the question is it doesn't make sense. What does it matter if i will be living alone?

Asking if you're moving to Anarctica or the international space station wouldn't make sense. Asking if you're moving into a house, since many people live in houses, is a pretty standard question, just like all the other standard questions you're always upset about. How do you date at all?
