Umm... the second reason is pretty much similar to the first. It should be more like if your a virgin and don't want to be one but guys find you repulsive than it is a very bad thing.
That is a commonly false dichotomy, as if there's only "get nekkid, every1 dose it" or "wait until marriage as the holy scriptures told you or you will burn in hell".
I’d say it actually is pretty dependent on if this is a guy or girl we’re talking about. I feel guys in the 20-24 age bracket are pretty clear cut—they either want to wait until marriage, they will have sex only in a relationship, or they will have sex with any girl who pulls her pants down (or somewhere in between the last two)
Girls are a little different. I’ve known some girls who wanted to wait until marriage change their mind after being in a relationship. I’ve seen girls who were the relationship type in their early years, break up and F whatever guy they were into that night. I’ve also see the girl who F’s everyone in college go back to a relationship type girl.
Guys also brag / bloat more about it. We may not all come off and be like “yeah we did it last week,” but we aren’t going to deny it. Girls I feel deny it a lot more to preserve their innocence. But they aren’t afraid to talk about all of their “slutty” friends who f guys all the time.
Sex before marriage should be out of the question.
For you maybe. Other people have the exact opposite view.
And still others do not rate either as more important. Rather... they go with whichever one come first as and when it comes because both of them are merely points along their journey rather than destinations for it.
There is no reason is "should" be out of the question though. If it is so for you then thats great... but that does not mean that that is a standard we should all be using.
It's a metaphor! Not my fault if you never heard of one. I'm a woman but I'm definitely not prudish or anal retentive so I will speak the way i speak. I said 'lots of miles' meaning women who sleep with every tom, dick and harry to one who respects herself more like this girl does.
Metaphors are usually a focal point of etymology and history that come behind them. The one you used is particularly poor. The comparison of a machine which gets worse with age and use... against a human who has had sex or had sex frequently is particularly gross.
The post you made... whether you intended it this way or not... gave the impression that:
a) You see some loss of quality in women if they have sex too much
and
b) You see men who choose to be with a woman who has a deep sexual history as being lacking in some form of "taste".
Perhaps you innocently wielded the metaphor thinking you knew what it meant or implied are completely blameless in this equation but I would certainly advise you to read it yourself in retrospect and explore the implications it makes. It is not a metaphor I would recommend you ever use again. Even as a woman yourself.
